DONATE A BIKE
Don’t let your old bike rust away! Help underserved kids in our community gain life skills through biking. Donate your used bike for refurbishing at the Charlotte Re-Cyclery, where we supply bikes to our Earn-A-Bike Program and sell them to the public to support Trips for Kids Charlotte.
Drop your bike off at the Charlotte Re-Cyclery (see location and hours) or at REI locations at Carolina Place and Northlake malls or other bike shops. Click here for a drop off location near you.
To schedule a bike donation pick-up (6 bike minimum), please complete our bike donation form.
Bike donations are eligible as charitable deductions; consult your tax advisor about specifics. Download donation receipt
VOLUNTEER WITH US
Volunteers help make many aspects of Trips for Kids Charlotte possible. Here's how you can get involved:
Ride Program: Be a buddy to our young cyclists on rides at Colonel Francis Beatty Park and elsewhere.
Earn-A-Bike Program: If you’re an experienced bike mechanic and can explain concepts to kids, you may want to teach bike safety, maintenance and repair. Each class consists of three, two-hour sessions.
Charlotte Re-Cyclery: We need experienced bike mechanics to help us refurbish bikes at our shop. You can also volunteer to simply lend a hand.
To inquire about volunteering, send your name, email, phone number and volunteer interest to: email@example.com.
